Looks Like!
Looks like we are back in business. I don’t really have anything extraordinary to say except: Praise God! He has cast light on my doubts. I really thought this would be down longer.

This website will likely be experiencing some downtime soon. It’s a long and complicated story and I won’t bore you with the details. Just keep checking back or email me if you wish. If you don’t know my email address you can figure it out. It’s my name followed by an underscore _ then my last name which is a synonym for happiness and starts with a B and ends with an s and rhymes with miss. So it is my first name, underscore, last name and then @yahoo.com. Why did I go to that much trouble? Because a human being will know instantly what my email address is but a webot searching for email addresses to spam will not figure it out so easily.
Hopefully we will be back soon, but I see some trouble ahead in getting my domain name problems straightened out. It has nothing to do with my friend who is hosting this site. It’s regarding my domain name. Sorry for the trouble. See you soon.

Luke 3:15 “The people were waiting expectantly and were all wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be the Christ.”
They knew He was coming. Scripture had told them it was so. Was the kingdom of Israel to be restored? Would Jacob be united again? Would the Jews be free of their Roman oppressors? the Bible says that all were wondering in their hearts if John might possibly be Him, but no, he was the spirit of Elijah, the one that made straight the pathways for the Lord. He was a prophet intended to come before the messiah came.
Fast forward some 2000 years. People are seeing the signs of His return. Israel is a nation once again, but currently only the Jews live there. God has still promised the reunification of all 12 tribes of Israel to come. We see wars and rumors of wars throughout Israel’s history, we have seen massive earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions, there are famines, and families fighting within themselves, children killing children and their parents too. The love of most has grown cold, Jesus is not permitted in school in America and liberalism is on the rise. Yeah, we are ripe for His return, but when will it be?
Just as it was with John, many now are asking if we could be closer. The best answer I can give is keep watching. Certain events must take place for us to know we are closer than ever before. These events however do not include a peace treaty with Israel. I will get into that tomorrow. But these events do include the coming war of Gog of Magog as prophesied in Ezekiel 38 and 39. This cannot be the same God mentioned in Revelation 20 because too many things happen after this war for it to be after the millennial kingdom. But we have been close to war in the Middle East before. This one I fear will be more decisive and quite possibly, nuclear in nature. If we see that, we can say we are knocking at the door.
We need to see the rise of Elijah once again. He preceeds the coming of the Lord. We also, I feel need to see a cataclysmic event such as the modern world has never seen. How else could the antichrist rise to power? No one will give up their sovereignty otherwise. We are already seeing the devestating economic times but we have seen this before and we have recovered.
Is He coming? Yes, someday He will return. Is it tomorrow? NOT A CHANCE! Is it in the next 10 years, quite possibly. Next 20? More likely. Next 30-50? Almost guaranteed. But who knows, it could be even 100. Just keep watching with anticipation for the day when you know beyond the shadow of a doubt that the time has come.

I remember the first time I heard this term. I was of course playing basketball in I think fifth grade. Anyway, I was young and someone said “Fast break” and i said “What’s that?” In case you don’t know, it means a fast break away from the oppositions hoop and a quick route to your hoop with hopes of a an easy score. Well this message is not about basketball. It’s about me.
I think I need both. I believe I need to fast and I definitely need a break. I woke up this morning stiff and sore. My head was pounding too and I know it is because I spent most of Saturday evening in front of the computer researching end times stuff. I learned a lot, I really did. I also learned that I may have been wrong about a previous post. I am still looking into it but i mentioned the 1967 - 2017 timeframe being a fifty year time frame for the Jubilee. Well, that all depends on how you count the years for a Jubilee. it’s a long and complicated process so just look to Leviticus 25 and ask God to help you understand. Anyway, I believe there may be error to my logic. More on that later.
Tomorrow, I have decided, I am going to fast during the daylight hours. Pretty easy to do now with Daylight Savings Time gone for a while. I need it because I believe it A) forces you to rely on God because you get hungry and want to eat, and B) I believe it brings spiritual renewal. Also I need a break. I am taking the advice of a friend and welcome advice it is. I am going to take a break from the internet for at least a week. I am very seriously considering a TV blackout at my house on Tuesday too. I don’t care at this point who wins the election. I truly believe right now that John McCain will win but will not be surprised at all if Barack Obama wins. I may take a peek on occasion just because curiousity will kill me.
But the biggest impact of this is going to be this blog. Unlike last time when I got sick and just disappeared for nearly a month, I am letting you know ahead of time that I will be taking a break. So you may not see much activity for at least one week and maybe as many as two. I won’t go more than two because I want to talk about all the Ubuntu features. LOL.
Take Care and God Bless

There was a time when…
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Barack Obama now pledges that he will change the world. WOW! That’s one tall order to deliver and so far, only man has done just that. My 10th grade world history teacher had a sign above his classroom door that read “There are no sudden significant changes” and no matter what we came up with, he would not say that it was significant. He said to be significant, it had to impact the entire world. I now wonder if he was trying to get us to mention Christ. i am not sure though.
When I saw him at my sister’s wedding reception (she was a teacher’s pet apparently), I showed him my then six year old daughter and said “Mr. Dewey, this was a significant change”, but he reminded me that I probably planned it and it that 9 months is not sudden. Touche Mr. Dewey.
Anyway, Christ is the only one that has ever changed the world. Even 9/11 didn’t change the world. It made the United States and it’s citizens look at the world differently but really it didn’t change the world.
World War 2 and the world wide economic depression that came before it didn’t change the world, it only changed the way we looked at things. No one ever has nor will change the world until Christ once again comes. However the Bible tells of a man that will attempt to change the world. Hmmm. No, I am not at all suggesting that Barack Obama is the antichrist. In fact, I know for a fact that no one will know who he is until his time comes. But I do know this, Obama is playing into the hands of thousands, even hundreds of thousands possibly that were looking for a reason to add his name to their short list of suspects. Hmm….

1947 - The 25% of the British Mandate (result of WW1 given to England in 1918) that was not given to Jordanian independence is divided into a palestinian state and a Jewish state. Jerusalem was to be an international city. The decree to restore Jerusalem is given. This is UN Resolution 181. The Jews agree to this mandate, the arabs deny it and the hostilities begin. In May 1948, the nation of Israel is born again with the Jews declaring independance. They are almost immediately invaded by arab nations, but they repell them and gain even more land. The west bank remains in Jordanian control.
1947 years from Adam (according to calculations of who begat who in Genesis), Abraham, the father of Israel is conceived. He was born in the year that was 1948 from Adam. Coincidence? No way!
June 5, 1967 - Arab nations once again invade Israel. Within three days Israel occupies the entire Sinai peninsula. An area 4 times the size of their nation. They occupy Jerusalem, the Gaza strip, The Golan Heights and the West Bank. Jerusalem, officially belonging to Israel as it is the place God put His name, is returned to Israel. Israel decides to allow control of the temple mount (now containing the Dome Of The Rock) with the Arabs. This is a significant year.
1973 - The arabs attack once again. This time on the Day of Yom Kippur. Many israelis die, but again, Israel wins the war and there is no peace at this point either.
1978 - After thirty years of fighting, Egypt and Israel enter into a peace agreement. The signing was at Camp David with the President Jimmy Carter. Sinai is returned to Egypt and in return Egypt recognizes Israel’s existance. The only Arab nation to do so. Israel tries to return the Gaza strip to Egypt, but Egypt refuses.
1982 - After numerous attacks by Yassir Arafat’s PLO, Israel invades Lebanon and sets up a security zone thus occupying the southern region of Lebanon. They stayed here until May 2000 when they pulled out.
1991 - During the first gulf war, Sadaam Hussein fires Scud missles at Israel. Israel does not retaliate. If they had, we would not have had to go into Iraq in 2003 because Iraq would have been a wasteland. But God’s timing had not yet come.
1993 - The Oslo Accords - Many people believed that this was the fulfillment of Daniel’s prophetic week. Unfortunately as is the case so many times when dealing with prophecy that is not yet fulfilled, the pieces didn’t all fit together. Under the guidance of then President Bill Clinton, Israeli leadership and PLO leadership met in Oslo, Norway and forged a seven year deal which was to culminate in an official palestinian state. For the first time in all of history, Palestinans and Israelis were living side by side in peace. But it would not last.
1994 - King Hussein of Jordan and Yitzak Rabin of Israel sign a peace treaty with Jordan recognizing Israel as a sovereign nation. The West Bank formerly controlled by Jordan and occupied by Israel was given over to the Palestinians to be a future Palestinian state and Jordan would have peace with Israel. The total number of nations in the middle East that recognized Israel was now at 2. That is where it remains today too.
2000 - With the Oslo accords coming to an end, the Israeli government is prepared to recognize a sovereign palestinian nation but Yassir Arafat wants all of Israel. He even shapes his head dress in the shape of the area owned by Israel as a way to signify he wants it all.
Israel wanted to give 95% of the west bank to the PLO and half of Jerusalem. Bill Clinton, Ehud Barak, and Yassir Arafat try to come to an agreement in historic Camp David where peace with Egypt was made during the Camp David Accords of 1978. But no agreement is reached. By September 2000, many are believing that if peace is obtained, Christ will rapture the church and the tribulation will begin. It didn’t happen of course because that was not the way God described in Daniel 9. The second infitada begins and the terror that plagued Israel that year with rocks being thrown soon turned into rockets and suicide bombers.
May 2003 - The roadmap to peace is initiated. Headed by President George W. Bush, the European Union and Russia, the goal was for there to be a sovereign palestinian nation developed. That roadmap is blocked by suicide bombers and a failure to recognize Israeli independence.
August 2005 - Under immense pressure from the United States, Israel withdraws from Gaza and the territory is inhabited by Hamas. This move by Ariel Sharon was his last major move. He died of a brain aneurysm a year later. Many Israelis lost their homes, their jobs, their livlihoods.
2005-present - President of Iran, Mamoud Ahmedjinedad, states repeatedly that Israel will be: Pushed into the sea, wiped off the map, and cease to exist. He restarts Irans nuclear program that was halted in 2002 after pressure and sanctions from the UN. His goal is to build a nuclear weapon to annhililate Israel. Israel pledged in 2007 and again in 2008 that they would not let this happen.
Previous years
1917 - 400 year Ottoman rule ended.
1867 - The final emancipation of all Jews in Austria-Hungary
50 years from 1867 - 1917 (also one year before the British Mandate of British Palestine)
50 years from 1917- 1967 when Jerusalem was set free and returned to its rightful owner.
50 years from 1967 - 2017 Possibly the 120th Jubilee
From 1947 - 2017 is seventy years
From 70 AD (Solomon’s temple was destroyed by Romans) to 2017 is 1947 years
From 1947 years from Adam (Abraham conception) until 70 AD is 2017 years.

It’s a history of gains and losses in the Dow Jones Industrial stock market. I see a pattern. Most big gains and big losses occurred in the Depression era and in the last 3 weeks. WOW!!!!!!
Of course there was Black Monday in 1987, but still, the pattern is there.

I say “Quick” because it would take a lot of time to thoroughly go through it. But with the help of a friend, I discovered something the other night about verse 26 and wanted to share.
26“Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing, and the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary And its end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.
For a very long time, people have considered this to be a historic event because it says Messiah will be cut off. He absolutely certainly was cut off by his death on the cross. I don’t recall now if it can be calculated that from the time of Darius until the crucifixion fits in the Seventy Weeks or not. But He was certainly cut off. HOWEVER…..
He is being cut off again. More and more each day the world is becoming more world-like and less Messiah-like. We are cutting him off and have been for many years. What will happen after this sixty-two years and He is once again cut off completely? I know this: I don’t want to be a part of cutting Him off again.

Monday, the stock market tumbled. Tuesday it rallied. Now people say “Oh it’s just volatile.” no, it’s sick. It’s coughing because it is sick and it’s not over. Sure, today, tomorrow, maybe in a week, I am not sure. There will be a bailout package passed and all will say “Oh how wonderful”. But friends, it’s not over. When the sun goes down on this financial crisis, people will return to their fruitless ways and though we may have new regulations, it won’t stop the decline. We will have a lot of sugar thrown at us but eventually, the collapse will come. When it comes, that’s it. It’s over. There is no recovery. I am not saying it’s months or even years away. But I am saying this is it. We have been injured and though we can have surgery, it will never be the same.
Anyone that has ever had any kind of surgery can tell you. You are never the same. Yes, you may feel better and you may feel back to normal, but you are never the same. I am sorry to bear the bad news but I feel I must. We must change our ways. We must live as if a recession is here whether or not it comes now or in the future, we must change our ways or we will suffer too.
Many probably think I am a fatlistic nutcase and I pray I am. But in my spirit, I know that I am not. How do I know? It’s complicated. I know. This has been a rough time for the US economy, but our darkest days are in the future. I know this as well as I know my own name and I am not an economist. We have to make sure we don’t rely on credit like we have so much in America. I mean personal credit. Don’t rely on the stock market either. It’s not a good barometer. Mark my words, it will dip again before the end of the week and if not, I will eat my words. We are being warned by God to trust Him. I am sure it’s more than coincidental that the DOW was down 777 on the eve of the Feast of Trumpets. I am not saying anything more than I don’t think it is coincidental. Get the message, seek God and be prepared for the worst.
