I can’t beleive it. I just can’t believe the nerve of some people. Earlier this week I cut the grass for someone who was out of town. I don’t know where his property line is so I guessed. I figured i went a little into the neighbor’s yard and figured it was ok. I do that with my own property and my neighbor sometimes reciprocates. Well, apparently I missed the mark a bit. The neighbor cut her grass and now there is a one lawnmower’s worth strip of uncut grass growing between the properties. Apparently, I didn’t go far enough. If I was not a Christian, I would probaby take my riding lawn mower down there and blow the grass into her yard. But of course I won’t do that. The person I cut the grass for will be back in town tomorrow. I can’t wait to hear his reaction.
Is it so hard to do a little something for people once in a while? I don’t know if I will ever understand this one. Unreal.

They call it the super bowl of country music. Jamboree In The Hills. Though I live just miles from where this event will take place later this week, I have never been there. Just like many people that live in St. Louis have never been in the arch or people in New York that have never been to the statue of LIberty, I have never been to Jamboree In The Hills and probably never will go there. I have nothing against anyone that does go there, that’s their prerogative, not mine. I just don’t want to get squirted or have someone squirt my wife with a squirt gun because I would probably lose my cool.
Anyway, I am continually amazed at how life around here is put on hold for one week. The third week of July is life on hold where I live. No one dares plan anything for the third weekend in July because someone may already have plans to go to Jamboree In The Hills. I tell you, the people come from all over the country and Canada too to see Jamboree In The Hills. The music goes from Thursday to Sunday but the camping starts on Sunday night and lasts through next Sunday night. It’s great for the local merchants. The local grocery store had a huge display setup this past weekend with lawn chairs, coolers, and of course squirt guns and beer.
An acquaintance of mine, Joe Zelek, wrote the new theme song for the event and it’s a good song. Check it out on his website or on iTunes. It’s an interesting time of the year and it happens every year, in the third week of July. I don’t know what you will be doing this weekend, but I will probably be watching Joe on TV on Thursday night and then probably drive by on Friday or Saturday just to see all the people.

Have you ever wondered why the disciples didn’t realize all that we know about Jesus? Wouldn’t you love to have been able to walk with Him and see His miracles first hand? But those that did, didn’t seem to know that He was going to rise from the dead 3 days after His death on the cross. Why is that?
Maybe it is because some of the most obvious things in life are the hardest to see. We may call it not being able to see the forest through the trees or not being able to see helicopter because we are focusing on the wind and loud noise in front of us.
Today, I thought I broke our washing machine. It said Control Lock and it wasn’t moving from that. I have no idea what control lock is but I somehow made the washing machine go into control lock mode. After a quick search on the internet, my wife came in to the laundry room and showed me what a ding bat I was. Right below one of the buttons it said “To set or remove control lock, hold button in for 3 seconds.” She held the button in for 3 seconds and the control lock was removed. Duh!
But it was right there in front of me and I didn’t see it. Just like Jesus, God Himself, the Son of God and Son of Man, walking right in front of them and they didn’t realize He was going to be resurrected. It took me 3 seconds to realize what I missed. It took them 3 days. Maybe next time, if we all focus on Him, it will take a little less time to see the obvious.

Ok, we are back to normal now. So you may wonder what was wrong and why there were no posts for a week. I knew I was switching hosting servers because of issues with the original hosting company. This meant that any posts I made while this change was taking place would not have been transferred to the new location. Everything else looks the same, we just lost a week of posting. It’s ok though, I needed that week off to deal with a family matter anyway.
So back to to grind. I will post new messages starting tomorrow according to the previous format. I will aslo update the featured blogs links today too.
It’s good to be back and a special thanks to my friend Nick for helping make this change run smooth.

I am having problems with my hosting company and I have asked that my service be terminated. Therefore, if I don’t get things worked out, We will be down for a few days. Please don’t give up on us. We will be back.
I could use some help from my Canadian friend getting a backup of the database if he happens to read this.
